Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Up Planning Edge LLC, doing business as Future-Proof Advisors. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. We tried to write it in plain English. Where we had to use legal terms, we kept them as short as we could.

Who we are
Up Planning Edge LLC (EIN 83-3871357) operates this website at www.upplanningedge.com. The business is run by Joe Neri, a Texas-licensed life insurance agent (license #2211117). Our address is 7055 Old Katy Rd #1008, Houston, TX 77024. Phone: +1-832-793-9509.
What we collect
We collect three kinds of information.
1. Information you give us directly.
When you fill out a form, take a quiz, book a call, sign up for our newsletter, buy a digital product, or message us, you may give us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your city or state
- Quiz answers about your family, work, or money goals
- Payment details (these go straight to Stripe; we never see your card number)
- Anything else you choose to type into a message
2. Information we collect automatically.
When you visit the site, your browser sends information that is normal for any website to log:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type and version
- The pages you visit and how long you stay
- The page you came from before ours
- Your device type (desktop, phone, tablet)
- General location based on IP (city or region, not your exact address)
3. Information from cookies and tracking pixels.
We use the following tracking tools:
- Google Tag Manager (GTM-5BP8FKWG) — loads our other tracking tools.
- Google Analytics — counts page views and tracks how the site is used. Anonymized.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel (ID 1082276946083577) — helps us see if our ads are working and lets us show ads to people who visited our site.
- Session cookies — keep you logged in on pages that need a login.
You can turn off cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site may not work as well.
How we use what we collect
We use your information to:
- Reply to messages and follow up on calls you book
- Send you the resources, ebooks, or quiz results you asked for
- Send marketing emails about insurance, AI income, and workshops — only if you signed up for the list
- Run and improve the website
- Show ads to people who match the profile of our typical client
- Process payments for digital products (the $15 ebook and the $97 program)
- Follow the law (tax records, license rules, court orders if any)
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the third parties that help us run the business:
- Stripe — processes payments. They see your card details, not us.
- GoHighLevel / DFYCRM — hosts the site, the CRM, the email list, and the booking calendar.
- Cloudflare — serves the site and protects against attacks.
- Google — hosts our email (Google Workspace) and runs Analytics + Tag Manager.
- Meta (Facebook) — runs the Facebook Pixel for ad tracking.
- Insurance carriers — only when you formally apply for a policy. We share what the carrier needs to underwrite. We do not share your data with carriers before that.
- Lawyers, accountants, regulators — only when the law requires it.
Each of these third parties has its own privacy policy. We pick partners that take privacy seriously, but their policies are theirs, not ours.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we have a reason to. Email subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Buyers of digital products are kept for tax record-keeping (7 years per IRS rules). Insurance applicants are kept per Texas insurance regulations and carrier rules. Website analytics roll off after about 26 months.
If you ask us to delete your information, we delete what we can. Some records (tax, insurance, regulatory) we are required to keep by law.
Your rights
No matter where you live, you have the right to:
- See what information we have about you
- Ask us to fix anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete it (subject to the legal-hold rules above)
- Stop getting our marketing emails (every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click is enough)
- Stop us from sharing your data with ad platforms (email us and we will pull you out)
If you live in California (CCPA / CPRA):
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell your personal information. To use any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request."
If you live in the European Union or UK (GDPR):
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. You also have the right to file a complaint with your local data-protection authority. The legal basis we use to process your data is either your consent (when you sign up for something) or our legitimate business interest (running the site, replying to you, following the law). To use any of these rights, email [email protected].
If you live in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another US state with a privacy law:
Your rights are similar to the California rights above. Email us with the same subject line and we will treat it as a privacy request under your state's law.
How to opt out of email
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once and you are off the list. If the link does not work, email [email protected] and we will remove you by hand within 7 days.
Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still email you about a product you bought, an appointment you booked, or a legal notice. Those are not marketing.
How we keep your data safe
The site runs over HTTPS with a TLS certificate. Payment data goes straight to Stripe and never touches our servers. Login pages use industry-standard hashing for passwords. We use two-factor authentication on the accounts that hold your data. We are not perfect — no website is — but we take reasonable steps. If a data breach ever happens, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent and you think your child gave us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we change the "Last updated" date at the top. Big changes get an email to the list. Small wording fixes do not.
